On December 25 of this year, for pupils of the pre-school preparation class and 3rd grade students of the secondary school named after S. Ergaliev, museum staff held an educational hour on the topic “National costume – the heritage of my people.” The purpose of this event is to familiarize students with national costumes; provide an opportunity to turn to the traditions, history and culture of the peoples of our region; to preserve the memory of the rich past of our Motherland, to educate the younger generation to understand that folk culture is our property and value. During this event, students became familiar with the features, elements, and history of the appearance of national costumes of different peoples of Kazakhstan. The children were presented with presentations and videos about national clothing and the Kazakh national ornament. Students answered questions, solved riddles, assembled puzzles, and also played didactic games: “Pick up the right elements for your clothes.”National costume is an integral part of the culture of any nation. This is not just clothes, but a big story that can tell both about an entire nation and an individual. And it is necessary to protect it just like traditions.
