On December 8 of this year, the staff of the B. Mailin Museum of Local Lore organized a museum lesson for 9th grade students of the B. Mailin school called “Work and dedication”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Hero of Socialist Labor Nikolai Grigoryevich Shkabarev.
Nikolai Grigoryevich Shkabarev is one of the brightest representatives of the virgin soil generation, people whose lives were closely connected with the development of agriculture in the region. His work achievements were marked by high state awards.
By decree of June 23, 1966, N.G. Shkabarev was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor, he was awarded the Order of Lenin, the Hammer and Sickle medal and other awards.
During the lesson, students got acquainted with the main stages of the hero’s biography, the importance of the work of machine operators in the development of virgin lands, and the history of agricultural development in Kostanay region. Special attention was paid to Shkabarev’s personal qualities — responsibility, hard work, perseverance and dedication to his chosen cause.
The event ended with a discussion, during which the students answered questions about the modern role of labor values and what qualities help a young person choose and follow his professional path with dignity.
