The B. Mailin Museum of Local Lore hosted a thematic excursion for the youth of the village called “Rural labor – from plough to combine harvester”, dedicated to the Year of Working Professions.
During the tour, the participants got acquainted with the history of agricultural labor, which is aimed at providing the population with food and obtaining raw materials.
The exhibition presents implements of peasant life and agriculture from the museum’s stock collections, from wooden ploughs and carts to the first mechanized units. During the tour, the children were told about the hard and honorable work of farmers, how their way of life and tools changed over time. The youth were particularly interested in authentic exhibits such as a plough, a harrow, cart wheels made of wood and iron, and everyday objects of the villagers dating back to the early twentieth century. The tour allowed visitors to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the past and see with their own eyes how rural labor developed step by step.
