On May 8, the Museum of Local Lore hosted a memorial evening dedicated to the participants of the Great Patriotic War. The event is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, an important date that unites generations with a common history, pain and pride for the feat of the Soviet people. The museum staff told about the countrymen whose names are inscribed in the history of Victory: about those who fought on the fronts, worked heroically in the rear, and rebuilt the country in the post-war years. Special attention was paid to personal stories, those that are passed down from generation to generation in families that cherish the memory of their heroes.
Today, the memorial evening was attended by guests who told about their relatives who participated in the war, whose exploits still inspire and teach us courage, perseverance and love for the Motherland.: Alexander Semyonovich Chermashentsev, the son of Semyon Vasilyevich Chermashentsev, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, shared his memories of his father‘s military path, how, after passing through the front-line roads, he returned home and remained an example of perseverance and humanity all his life.
Madiyeva Aigul Seitbekovna, head of the B. Mailin regional post office, told about her grandfather Kazhymold Asylbayevich, who went through the Great Patriotic War and left his descendants the memory of valor, duty and loyalty to the Motherland.
The evening ended with words of gratitude to the descendants for preserving their memory, for continuing to talk about their relatives and passing on this knowledge to the younger generation. Memory is not just a story. It is a part of our soul and our future. And as long as the memory is alive, the feat is alive.
