On March 22, in honor of the celebration of Nauryz Meiramy, employees of cultural institutions and other organizations of the district organized an ethnographic festival for residents of the village of Ayet in a yurt town on the central square. Each yurt had its own name. Our yurt was named after the great writer, poet and playwright Beimbet Mailin.
The guests were greeted at the entrance by the dance group “Exercises“ and dombrists, creating a festive atmosphere. Inside the yurt, they were treated to traditional Kazakh dishes — Nauryz kozhe, the main symbolic treat, and fragrant baursaks. Theatrical skits were prepared for the guests: an episode from the childhood of Beimbet Mailin, a moment where the writer sits at a table and reads his work, an excerpt from his famous play “Shuganyn Belgisi“.
Special attention of the visitors was attracted by household items of the Kazakh people, which were actively used during the nomadic lifestyle and remain relevant today. Among the exhibits were tobacco, samovar, mace, kespe, saptayak, ozhau, korpeshe and many others. These traditional objects helped to create an atmosphere of comfort and authenticity of the yurt.
In addition, exhibitions of the local history museum and library were organized for visitors, as well as a thematic photo zone.
