March 1 marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan. In honor of this, on February 28, the staff of the Museum of Local Lore held an educational hour for 6th grade students of the B. Mailin secondary school.
The event began with a story about the history of the Assembly. The students learned about the multinational composition of Kazakhstan, as well as about the important role of the Assembly in strengthening friendship and harmony between representatives of different ethnic groups living in our country.
In the dialogue format, students discussed why it is important to preserve peace and mutual understanding in society, how ethnic groups interact with each other and what values contribute to the unity of the people of Kazakhstan.
A special moment of the meeting was the speech of a resident of the village of Ayet, a representative of the German people. She shared the story of her family, told about the national traditions that they cherish, and how her ancestors ended up in Kazakhstan. The students listened to her story with great interest.
The meeting ended with an exciting game program: the children took part in a quiz, a musical game, and also remembered musical instruments of different nations. The event was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, leaving the children with new knowledge and vivid impressions. It reminded everyone that the friendship of peoples is the foundation of peace and harmony in Kazakhstan. Respect for the culture and traditions of different ethnic groups helps to strengthen the unity of society and makes our country strong and prosperous.
