At the Sapar Yergaliev Secondary School, the museum staff held an educational hour called “My pain, Afghanistan“ for 8th grade students. The purpose of the event was to honor the memory of the fallen countrymen, to recall the tragic events of the Afghan war, which claimed many lives, crippled fate and left behind widows, orphans and mothers who did not wait for their sons.
On this day, the students also expressed gratitude to those who honorably fulfilled their duty as soldiers. During the event, a minute of silence was held in memory of the fallen internationalist soldiers.
The children learned about the history of the Afghan War, got acquainted with the biographies of fellow countrymen who died in Afghanistan, and watched a presentation prepared by the museum about the events of those years.
