On January 23 of this year, the Museum of Local Lore hosted a memorial evening dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of A.I. Protsenko, on the theme “Cinematography of Soviet Cinema.“ The event was attended by employees of government agencies.
During the event, the life and work of the cinematographer were described in detail, and his significant contribution to the development of Russian cinema was emphasized. Little-known facts from the biography of A.I. Protsenko were presented, as well as moments from his work that left a noticeable mark in the history of the film industry. The guests of the event were able to see rare video materials, as well as discuss the main stages of the director‘s career and his unique ability to convey the zeitgeist through the screen. At the end of the evening, the participants exchanged their impressions and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to recall an outstanding countryman and his creative legacy.
