Protsenko Anatoly Ivanovich Protsenko was born in 1935 in the village of Taranovskoye, where he lived until the age of 13. Later, together with his family, he moved to the village of Tobol. At the age of 17, he entered the architectural college of Almaty, but never completed his studies there. After he dropped out of college, he decided to follow his dream and go to the city of Troitsk to enroll in flight school. However, they refused to accept his documents there, since Anatoly Protsenko was only 17 years old at the time of admission. After the refusal, he left for the city of Aktobe, where in 1954 he entered flight school and received the basics of knowledge as a mechanic. A year later, he graduates from school with excellent grades and will be among the three fellow students who were allowed to freely choose their place of work. It was then that the future cinematographer went to conquer the capital of the Soviet Union. He settled permanently in Moscow, got married, and had two children. For some time, Anatoly Ivanovich was fond of boxing, was injured, as a result of which he was unable to continue his studies in his early chosen profession. In Moscow, he entered the Institute of Cinematography, and worked for several years as an editor for filming with foreign countries. In 1966 he graduated from the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography. He is a screenwriter by profession, a literary worker of cinema and television. Since 1973, he got a job as Deputy director for documentaries and educational films. From 1977 to 1987, he worked as a supervisor. Five films were shot based on the scripts he wrote: Steps on the Ground (Belarusfilm studio), Keychain with a Secret (Mosfilm), Last Year’s Quadrille (Mosfilm), Shooting in the Wilderness, For a Rainy Day. At the suggestion of F.T. Ermashov, he was appointed the 1st Deputy Minister of Cinematography of Russia. His daughter Tatiana followed in her father‘s footsteps. When she was 7 years old, she starred in The Adventures of Pinocchio, where she played the role of Malvina. As an adult, she graduated from the Institute of Cinematography, then from the Faculty of Literature. She worked at the U. R. Cinema Center.Bykova, filmed a program for children with Tatiana Vedeneva Children‘s Hour!.
