On June 19, an educational hour called “The History of leather craft“ was organized at the children‘s recreation area, where the museum staff presented a story using exhibits. The purpose of this event was to familiarize children with the history and significance of the leather craft, developing their knowledge and interest in cultural heritage and craft. The children learned about how the manufacture of leather goods took place in ancient times, what tools and techniques were used, as well as how the leather industry changed in different historical periods. As part of the event, a quiz game was held to test knowledge about the leather craft. At the end of the event, a documentary film “The Leather art of the Kazakh people“ was shown.
