Performance “a real Kazakh is not a Kazakh, but a real Kazakh dombra”, timed to coincide with the actions dedicated to Dombra Day

On June 20, the “Kui Sherui“ campaign dedicated to the National Day of Dombra took place. The artists of the district of 100 dombrists performed 7 kuys and gave concerts in the central square. In honor of the action, the museum staff organized an exhibition “Nagyz kazak emes kazak, nagyz kazak dombra“ in a yurt on the central square. July 1 is National Good Day. On June 13, 2018, in order to further consolidate society around the idea of preserving and reviving national culture and identity, a decree was issued establishing the first Sunday of July as the national dombra day. The sacred black dombra, which was one of our national values, is our precious heritage, the pupil of our eyes and an integral part of our national code.
