«History frozen in granite» – a thematic excursion about monuments in the territory of the village of Ayet

On the occasion of the International Day for the Protection of Monuments and Historical Places, a thematic excursion about the monuments “History frozen in granite” was held on the territory of the central square of the village of Ayet for students of the 7th grade of the secondary school named after. B. Mailina. During the event, the children got acquainted with the history of their small Motherland, learned a lot of new information about eminent personalities of the region, got to know architectural structures better and learned about when and how they appeared in their native village. It should be noted that the thematic excursion primarily pursued not only an educational goal, but also an educational one: the children learned that it is necessary to treat architecture with care, because, despite their apparent durability, if not handled correctly they can quickly collapse, and we will lose their historical value.
