Since time immemorial, people have sought to protect themselves and their homes from troubles and misfortunes. For this they made amulets. People believed that amulets protected them from illness, the “evil eye,” predatory animals, natural disasters, and various misfortunes. When preparing for a long journey, a person took with him a talisman so that the goodness, faith and love invested in it would warm the soul and remind him of his father’s house, his native land. Eagerly, our students from the boarding school began making a horseshoe amulet on January 24, 2024. This is a very interesting and beautiful amulet. It has long been believed that a horseshoe is a talisman that brings happiness, luck and wealth. Our ancestors believed that if you find a horseshoe on the road, then from that time on you will become the “darling” of fate. If you cannot find a real horseshoe, then purchased, gifted or made with your own hands, it will also have the strongest energy. To make a horseshoe, we needed the simplest materials: a base of paper and cardboard in the shape of a horseshoe, woolen threads, a glue gun, decorative tape and all kinds of sequins, beads and rhinestones. The class time passed very quickly, everyone was carried away by the creative work and decoration of the crafts. The result was different horseshoe amulets. At the end of the lesson, the children received recommendations on how to properly hang a horseshoe amulet at home.
