In honor of the 85th anniversary of Tobol Secondary School No. 1, a photodocumentary exhibition titled “The School Where the Journey Begins” was organized at the museum.
Tobol School No. 1 traces its history back to 1941. The exhibition features more than 20 photographs reflecting the history of the school, its teachers, and students, as well as a newspaper clipping dedicated to Serous, the school’s first principal.
Today, 40 teachers work at the school. Among them are educators holding high and first-qualification categories, as well as teacher-researchers and teacher-experts. Teachers participate in remote Olympiads organized by KIO and the “Daryn” RSPC, secure winning places, present at international and national conferences, and publish their materials in conference proceedings.
The school enrolls 403 students, including 72 straight-A students and 160 good performers. Students actively participate in subject Olympiads, scientific and practical conferences, and international and national intellectual competitions, earning top awards.
Special attention is paid to the well-rounded development of students. Sports clubs operate within the school, and two candidates for Master of Sports in judo study here. Students participate in various intellectual and game contests, demonstrating high achievements in the study of foreign languages, the Russian language, the history of Kazakhstan, and other subjects.
The school is equipped with all necessary conditions for children’s education and development. It features a cafeteria, a mini-center, a security checkpoint, and a computer lab fitted with modern equipment. Physics, chemistry, biology, history, and Kazakh language classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards.
Extracurricular activities are also actively developing: sports sections function regularly, and both student and teacher KVN (club of the funny and inventive) teams are active.
The photodocumentary exhibition “The School Where the Journey Begins” offers an opportunity not only to learn about the history of the school, but also to observe its growth, the achievements of its teachers and students, and to preserve the memory of the people who created the history of Tobol School No. 1 over the decades.
