On September 10 of this year, the B. Mailin Museum of History and Local Lore hosted an educational hour titled “Language – the Keeper of Spiritual Culture,” dedicated to the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan. The goal of the event was to highlight the role of language in preserving spiritual heritage, national identity, and the historical memory of the people, as well as to foster respect for the state language and native languages.

During the meeting, participants learned about the life and public educational work of Akhmet Baitursynuly, the founder of Kazakh linguistics and the Teacher of the Nation. Special attention was paid to the importance of language as a vital component of a nation’s culture and history. Students from the S. Yergaliyev School and cultural sector workers participated in an educational quiz and a game called “Complete the Proverb,” where they recalled Kazakh proverbs and sayings related to language.

The meeting took place in an informative and friendly atmosphere. Participants were able to expand their knowledge of the Kazakh language and the spiritual heritage of the nation, as well as reaffirm the importance of treasuring the languages and cultural traditions of all ethnic groups living in Kazakhstan.
