The famous native of the Argyn tribe – Shakshak Zhanibek Tarkhan Koshkaruly – batyr of the Momyn clan of the Argyn tribe, was born in 1693, died in 1752.
Zhanibek’s military service began at the age of 17, when he defeated the Dzungarian batyr and began to wear his armor. Shakshak Zhanibek had a very good generalship talent. It was he who put forward the idea of contrasting the heavily armed Dzungarian cavalry with maneuverable detachments of archers who penetrated into the enemy’s rear and ambushed there.
