The State Flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a symbol of our country’s independence and sovereignty, national unity, and pride. It was officially adopted on June 4, 1992. The author of this state symbol is Shaken Ondlasynovich Niyazbekov, an Honored Worker of Arts of Kazakhstan and artist whose talent and creative labor left a significant mark on the history of the country.
The sky-blue color of the flag symbolizes clear skies, peace, and unity; the sun represents life, abundance, and prosperity; the steppe eagle signifies freedom, strength of spirit, and the pursuit of high goals; and the national ornament near the flagpole reflects the rich cultural heritage and identity of the Kazakh people. The photodocumentary exhibition “The State Flag of My Country” introduces visitors to the history of the state symbol’s creation, the life and work of Shaken Niyazbekov, revealing the deeper meaning behind each element of the national flag.
The exhibition aims to foster patriotism, respect for state symbols, and a sense of pride in one’s country. The State Flag is a symbol of love for the Motherland, independence, national unity, and faith in the future of Kazakhstan.
