On September 28 of this year, the B. Mailin Historical and Regional History Museum hosted an educational hour titled “Sources of Information” for students of the B. Mailin School, dedicated to Radio and Information Day. The students discussed the significance of information and reviewed its primary sources: books, newspapers and magazines, radio, television, the internet, documents, and others.

Special attention was given to radio as one of the most vital mediums for conveying information. Students learned how people transmitted messages prior to the advent of modern telecommunications and explored the essential role radio played in broadcasting news, music, educational content, and cultural programming.

The event featured an interactive game titled “Name the Source” and a mini-quiz called “We Know and Remember.” Students practiced identifying various information sources and discussed the critical importance of fact-checking data found online and across social media. In conclusion, the participants highlighted the museum’s vital role in preserving documents, historical photographs, and museum artifacts for future generations.
