On August 6 of this year, the B. Mailin Historical and Regional History Museum hosted a museum lesson titled “My Multinational Country!”, dedicated to Tolerance Day.
During the museum lesson, the children learned about the history behind the establishment of International Day for Tolerance and discovered the true meaning of the concept of “tolerance.” Special emphasis was placed on showing respect for others, as well as the ability to listen, understand, and accept differing perspectives. The session continued with a parable titled “Two Doors,” which prompted the children to reflect on kindness, patience, and mutual understanding. The participants then actively engaged in a discussion, answering questions and sharing examples from their own lives. At the conclusion of the talk, the children came to the shared understanding that mutual respect helps preserve friendship, peace, and harmony.
The museum lesson helped foster moral values and a culture of respectful communication among the children. The young participants gained a deeper appreciation for the importance of treating everyone with respect, regardless of their nationality, traditions, or personal beliefs.
