On July 9 of this year, the B. Mailin Historical and Local History Museum hosted a video cruise titled “Astana – Eldin Mereyi” dedicated to Capital City Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was organized for children attending the summer wellness camp at the B. Mailin School.

During the event, the children learned about the history of Astana’s establishment, the main stages of the capital’s development, its name changes, and the city’s significance as the political, cultural, and economic center of independent Kazakhstan. Special attention was paid to the symbols of the capital, its architectural landmarks, and historical facts related to the city’s growth.

As part of the program, a video about Astana was screened, allowing the children to take a virtual journey through the modern capital. They were able to see its iconic landmarks and explore the unique appearance of one of the world’s youngest and most dynamically developing cities.

Holding events of this kind helps expand children’s knowledge about the history and modern development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, while fostering patriotism, respect for national values, and pride in the achievements of our country.
