On June 1 of this year, the B. Mailin Museum of Local Lore organized an object exhibition of children’s toys “Toys of my Childhood”, dedicated to the International Children’s Day.

The exhibition features toys from different generations, as well as objects that accompanied children in their daily lives at home, kindergarten and school. The exhibits allow us to trace how the world of childhood has changed over the decades, while preserving its special atmosphere and unique charm.

For adult visitors, the exhibition will be an opportunity to plunge into the atmosphere of their own childhood and remember their favorite toys of the past. Young guests of the museum will have a rare opportunity to see objects that were once an integral part of the lives of their parents, grandparents. For historical researchers, these exhibits are valuable evidence of their era, reflecting the peculiarities of everyday life, culture and upbringing of children of different generations.

The toys came to the museum from various sources and have been preserved in different conditions: some exhibits have survived to this day in almost perfect condition, others bear noticeable traces of time. However, each toy keeps its own story and arouses sincere interest among visitors, leaving no one indifferent.
