On May 15 of the current year, the B. Mailin Historical and Local History Museum hosted the grand opening of the thematic photo-documentary exhibition “The Museum Has a History of Its Own”, timed to coincide with the 35th anniversary of the museum’s founding.
The event was attended by members of the Council of Veterans, cultural workers, representatives of the education sphere, the public, and friends of the museum. During the meeting, guests got acquainted with the history of the museum’s creation, its founders, the first employees, and leaders who made a significant contribution to the development of the institution.
The exhibition presented archival photographs reflecting the stages of the museum’s construction, the opening of the institution in 1991, the first expositions, and the museum’s activities in different years. Warm congratulations and words of gratitude were addressed to the museum staff from guests and colleagues, and the festive atmosphere was complemented by musical performances by workers of the district House of Culture.
Over 35 years, the B. Mailin Historical and Local History Museum has become an important center for the preservation of historical and cultural heritage, patriotic education, and spiritual enlightenment of the younger generation.
