As part of the decade of Nauryznam, on March 18 this year, the staff of the B. Mailin Museum of Local Lore organized a subject exhibition called “The Golden Thread of History”, dedicated to the history of the Kazakh national costume. The exhibition features about 30 exhibits from the museum’s stock collections.
The exhibition presents traditional elements of Kazakh clothing: chapans, camisoles, kimesheks and other items reflecting the richness of culture, aesthetic features and historical development.
The exhibition reveals the importance of the national costume as an important part of the cultural heritage of the people.
