On September 12 of this year, an intellectual and educational event called “Language is the soul of the people” was organized at the B. Mailin Museum of Local Lore.
The purpose of the event is to introduce guests to the traditions and customs of the Kazakh people, to foster respect for their native language, and to strengthen friendship and mutual understanding between representatives of different nationalities.
During the meeting, the participants of the event learned about the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan, the multinational composition of the country and the importance of the state language as a spiritual value of the people. Special attention was paid to Kazakh musical instruments such as dombra, kobyz and zhetygen, their role in everyday life, starting from the history of their appearance. There was a live performance on the national musical instrument zhetigen, which impressed the audience with its melodiousness, soft, melodious sound.
In addition, native German speakers shared their traditions and told about their traditions, telling about how their families celebrate the main New Year’s, winter holiday, which customs and dishes are an integral part of this celebration.
The event helped to remind everyone of the importance of preserving and respecting the native language and cultural traditions of different nations.
