On September 4 of this year, an educational video cruise “Sacred Kazakhstan: sacred places of our Motherland” was organized at the Museum of Local Lore for cultural workers.
The main purpose of the event was to popularize historical monuments and sacred sites of Kostanay region. These places were identified during field and ethnographic expeditions by Kazakhstani scientists and included in the republican register of sacred sites.
The participants were shown a video cruise presentation, during which it was explained in detail that the project “Sacred Geography of Kazakhstan” is an important component of preserving national identity. They were also told about 34 sacred objects included in the republican register and 24 objects from the regional list.
At the end of the event, a dialogue took place with the guests, who were happy to share their impressions and knowledge about the sacred sites.
