On June 11 and 12, a thematic excursion “The Constitution is a symbol of a sovereign state“ dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held for students of the children‘s recreation area of the May secondary School and the Mykolaiv Primary School.
During the tour, the children learned about the history of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, got acquainted with the main articles and provisions of the Basic Law, and discussed why the Constitution is important for every citizen. The children were introduced to the photo and documentary exhibition “Galikhan Yerzhanov – the first Minister of Justice of independent Kazakhstan“.
Yerzhanov Galikhan Nurmukhanbetovich was the Deputy Prosecutor General and the first Minister of Justice of independent Kazakhstan. It was he who signed the first legal documents that allowed Kazakhstan to assert itself in the international arena, and to implement judicial and legal reform in his country.
