On March 28 of this year, an educational hour dedicated to people of labor was held for 8th and 9th grade students of the B. Mailin secondary school in the walls of the Museum of Local Lore.
The event was attended by distinguished guests – representatives of various professions: Senbayev Yesenaly, a labor veteran, Bayazieva Bayan Kairbekovna, a librarian at the B. Mailin School, and Arman Baybosynov, a picker at the Alur automobile plant (Kostanay). At the beginning of the event, the students learned why the current year was declared the Year of Working Professions, got acquainted with its meaning and goals.
Then the invited guests shared their stories: they told about their chosen professional path, how many years they had devoted to their work, what difficulties they faced and why they chose this profession. They also demonstrated their awards, diplomas and certificates of professional development. The event ended with an exciting quiz in which students were able to test their knowledge of working professions, their importance and role in society.
The educational hour was held in a warm atmosphere, leaving the children with a lot of useful information and, possibly, inspiring them to choose their future profession.
