Photo-documentary exhibition dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the founding of the village of Ayet “Dear Side to the Heart”

On October 13, to mark the 120th anniversary of the founding of the village of Ayet, museum staff organized a photo-documentary exhibition: “The Dear Side of the Heart.”Historians believe that our village was formed in 1903, on the right bank of the Ayat River, in the western part of our region. The site of the village of Taranovskoye was deserted: tall grass, many different birds, the Ayat River wide and deep up to 11 meters. This year our village Ayet turned 120 years old. Initially it was called Viktorovka, but in 1968 it was renamed in honor of the hero of the civil war and an active participant in the struggle for the establishment of Soviet power in Kostanay Lavrenty Taran. On December 12, 2018, it was decided to rename it from Taranovskoye to the village of Ayet. Now our district bears the name of a famous person, our fellow countryman B. Zh. Mailin. The words Әyet were mentioned in his works, which led to the renaming of our village.
