On October 11, museum staff organized an exhibition collection of irons from the museum’s fund, called “Irons for all modes.”Antique cast iron irons were made at the end of the 19th century. At that time, two types of irons were popular: solid cast iron, which had to be heated in a stove or on a fire, and more difficult to manufacture coal irons, which had a container for hot coals. A cast iron charcoal iron was a sign of wealth and prosperity in the house. It was expensive and passed down from generation to generation. Visitors to the exhibition were able to see not only the real cast iron irons that were used before, but also the “great-grandfather” of the modern iron – the ruble.
