This photo shows public figures of Kazakhstan in the 30s of the XX-th century-Beimbet Maylin (fourth from left in the second row), Ilyas Dzhansugurov, Saken Seifullin, Sabit Mukanov, Zhakan Syzdykov, Abdilda Tazhibayev and others.

During the years of Stalin’s totalitarian regime and political repression, many of them – including Maylin Beimbet Zharmagambetovich, a native of our region – were subjected to persecution, arrest and the highest penalty – execution. Posthumously, all those who fell under repression were rehabilitated.
