On October 12 of this year, the B. Mailin Museum of History and Local Lore hosted a scientific and practical conference titled “History, Personalities, Heritage!”, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the museum’s founding.

As part of the conference, students from general education schools across the district presented research and creative projects focused on the history of local settlements, archaeological monuments, memorial sites, sacred locations, tourism potential, and rural development. Participants shared the results of their studies into their native region’s past and highlighted significant historical landmarks and cultural heritage. The presented works were evaluated by an expert panel consisting of representatives from the cultural sector, public organizations, and the museum community. Following the presentations, participants and guests enjoyed a guided tour of a thematic exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Beimbet Mailin District, as well as an excursion through the museum’s main exhibits.

The conference served as a platform for exchanging knowledge and research experience, underscoring the importance of studying local history and preserving cultural heritage. Holding this event during the museum’s 35th anniversary year once again highlighted its vital role in local lore research and in passing historical knowledge on to the younger generation.
