On June 26 of this year, the B. Mailin Museum of Local Lore hosted a master class entitled “Summer Patterns: Kazakh ornaments with their own hands”, dedicated to introducing children to the rich heritage of Kazakh decorative and applied art.
During the event, the children learned about the meaning and diversity of Kazakh ornaments, their symbols and their role in the culture of the Kazakh people. The students got acquainted with the most famous types of patterns, as well as with the traditional colors used in national ornamental art.
The children worked with interest in the technique of spot painting with cotton swabs, decorating Kazakh ornaments with bright colored dots. During the creative process, the participants showed imagination, accuracy and artistic taste, creating original and colorful works.
The event promoted the development of fine motor skills, imagination and interest in national culture. At the end of the master class, the participants presented their works, each of which turned out to be bright, original and inimitable.
