On May 29 this year, the staff of the B. Mailin Museum of Local Lore held a lecture entitled “Asyl Mura”, dedicated to Kazakh national clothing and its significance in the culture of the Kazakh people.

During the event, the guests got acquainted with the history of the formation of the traditional Kazakh costume, the peculiarities of men’s and women’s clothing, national ornaments and ornaments. The participants were told about the symbolism of the elements of the national costume, the meaning of hats, ornaments and traditional patterns reflecting the worldview, customs and way of life of the Kazakh people.

Special attention was paid to the role of national clothing in preserving cultural heritage and the continuity of generations. It was also noted that today elements of traditional costume are increasingly used in modern culture, at festivals and national events, contributing to the popularization of folk traditions and respect for the history of their people.
