On May 8, 2023, the B. Mailin Local History Museum organized a thematic lecture titled “Zhenis Tuyin Zhelbiretken Qaisar Kazak” for students of the S. Yergaliyev School, dedicated to the Hero of the Soviet Union Seitkhan Nurmuhambetovich Temirbayev.
During the lecture, students learned about the life and military career of Seitkhan Temirbayev, a participant in the Great Patriotic War who fought his way from Stalingrad to Berlin. Special attention was given to his heroic actions during the assault on Berlin in April 1945. Under the command of Captain Temirbayev, Soviet soldiers crossed the Landwehr Canal, captured and held a strategically important bridge, and advanced towards the city center. For his bravery and heroism, Seitkhan Nurmukhambetovich was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.
The lecture was an important reminder of the heroic deeds of the generation of winners who made an invaluable contribution to the Great Victory. Such events help preserve historical memory and foster a sense of patriotism and respect for the heroes of the war among young people.
