On February 25 of this year, the B. Mailin Museum of Local Lore hosted a video lecture entitled “History in Person”, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the district. During the event, the key stages of the development of virgin lands and the establishment of agriculture were highlighted. Special attention is paid to the heads of virgin state farms “Kolos”, “Viktorovsky”, “Krasnoselsky”, “im. Belinsky”, as well as Dmitry Ivanovich Berlin, the first secretary of the district party committee, a Hero of Socialist Labor who made a significant contribution to the development of the district.
The participants of the event got acquainted with the activities of Semenbai Yerzhanov, Nikolai Zyukov, Ivan Slesarchuk, Sapar Yergaliev — leaders who actively developed infrastructure, built schools and cultural facilities, and strengthened the economy of rural farms.
The video lecture hall allowed us to look at the history of the district through the fate of the people whose work shaped and strengthened its modern appearance.
