In the Year of Working Professions, the B. Mailin Museum of Local Lore hosted a thematic excursion “Labor as Art” for school students, telling about the life and labor feat of our countryman, Dosmukhambetov Bazarbai Zholmagambetovich, a man who glorified not only the Rassvet state farm, but also the entire Taranovsky district with his work.

Dosmukhambetov Bazarbai Zholmagambetovich was born on January 30, 1930 in Karaoba village of Taranovsky district. From an early age, he was accustomed to work: in the spring and summer he worked in the field, and in the fall — in the forge. Having mastered the blacksmithing craft, Bazarbai Zholmagambetovich remained working as a blacksmith, giving new life to technology — thanks to his skillful hands, many combines and machines were put back into operation, helping in the development of agriculture.

In addition to blacksmithing, Bazarbai Zholmagambetovich mastered another profession — a combine harvester. He knew the technique perfectly and during the harvest period he invariably sat at the helm of the combine, helping his comrades to harvest bread. His work performance has always been among the best, as confirmed by numerous awards and honorary titles.

Labor merits: three times listed in the Book of Honor of the state farm “Rassvet” (1951, 1965, 1969); awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor (1971); medals “Veteran of Labor” and “For the development of virgin and fallow lands”; repeatedly became the winner of the socialist competition (1974, 1976, 1977, 1978 He was awarded diplomas of the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR for his achievements in the development of agriculture and the increase in agricultural production.

The purpose of the tour is to show that work is not only a duty, but also a real art that requires skill, responsibility and love for your work. The biography of Bazarbai Zholmagambetovich is a vivid example of how hard work and professionalism can glorify a person and his native land.

The exhibition presents photographs and documents from the family archive of B. Dosmukhambetov’s children, his awards and certificates of honor, memoirs of colleagues and fellow villagers, materials about working professions and their significance for the country.
