The 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War is celebrated on May 9. In honor of this memorable date, students of the Tobolsk Secondary School read front—line letters from heroic soldiers who selflessly fought for their Homeland in 1941-1945 and brought the Great Victory closer. Each letter contains a living story filled with hope, pain, faith and a dream: to defeat the enemy and return home to family and friends as soon as possible. The authors of these letters are no longer alive, but their voices resound through time. The lines written by hand on yellowed sheets, postcards and in soldiers‘ triangles are still carefully preserved in families. In honor of the holiday, relatives warmly shared these priceless relics so that the younger generation could touch the living memory of those who gave us peace.
