On May 2, 2025, the scientific and practical conference “The Great Patriotic War in History and Memory“, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, was held at the B. Mailin Secondary School. The event was organized by the staff of the Museum of Local Lore together with the B. Mailin Secondary School in cooperation with the Umit Public Foundation of the Beimbet Mailin district. The conference was opened by Sabit Ergazovich Umurzakov, a history teacher.
The event began with a welcoming speech by the head of the school, Aliya Fayzollovna Baikanova. The guests and participants were also greeted by Svetlana Alekseevna Rudik, head of the Museum of Local Lore, and Raisa Sergeevna Ovcharova, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Beimbeta Mailina district. The conference was attended by students of secondary schools in the Beimbet Mailin district: Beregovaya, Asenkritovskaya, B. Mailin school. The conference featured research reports by students accompanied by presentations that pieced together the most important events of military history with the study of archival materials in order to preserve historical memory, their great-grandfathers, the exploits of heroes who fought in heavy battles and gave us a peaceful sky. The performances of the participants were distinguished by their sincerity, deep meaning and respect for the heroic deeds of the heroes.
At the end of the event, all participants were awarded with diplomas and memorable gifts, and the scientific supervisors received letters of thanks for their active participation in the training of the students.
