On July 15, 2026, staff members of the B. Mailin Historical and Local History Museum conducted a historical journey titled “The District I Live In,” dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Beimbet Mailin district.
During the event, participants embarked on a fascinating journey through the history of their native land — from the ancient archaeological monuments and the earliest settlements to the modern stage of the district’s development. The guests learned about the history of the establishment of the Taranov district in 1936, its subsequent renaming into the Beimbet Mailin district, the development of agriculture, industry, and the social sphere, as well as the reclamation of virgin lands and other key events that played a significant role in the regional development.
Special attention was paid to the heroic deeds of local compatriots during the Great Patriotic War. The participants honored the memory of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Seitkhan Temirbayev, and the Full Knight of the Order of Glory, Vasily Ivanovich Pipchuk, whose courage and selflessness are forever inscribed in the history of the district.
At the end of the event, the guests were introduced to the modern achievements of the Beimbet Mailin district, including ongoing investment projects, the development of the agro-industrial complex, industry, social infrastructure, and the implementation of advanced technologies.
The historical journey served as a poignant reminder of the district’s rich past, its proud labor traditions, and the people who, over the course of nine decades, have built and continue to shape the history of their homeland.
