On June 17 of this year, the B. Mailin Museum of Local Lore held a lecture entitled “A name inscribed in the history of the region”, dedicated to the 104th anniversary of the birth of Hero of the Soviet Union Seitkhan Nurmukhambetovich Temirbaev, for students of the summer recreation area of the S. Ergaliev school.
During the lecture, the children got acquainted with the biography and military path of Seitkhan Temirbayev, an outstanding countryman who showed courage and bravery during the Great Patriotic War. The children were told about his participation in key battles of the war, the liberation of the territories of the Soviet Union and Europe, as well as about the feat for which he was awarded the high title Hero of the Soviet Union.
Special attention was paid to his military achievements, leadership qualities and personal contribution to achieving the Great Victory. The participants of the event learned about how the hero’s battle path developed and what trials he had to go through at the front.
The event helped to expand children’s knowledge of the history of the Great Patriotic War, preserve the memory of the exploits of the heroes of their countrymen and foster a sense of patriotism and respect for the historical past of their country.
