On May 18, 2023, the B. Mailin Local History Museum held an interactive project called “Night at the Museum,” dedicated to the International Museum Day and the 35th anniversary of the museum. The event brought together residents and guests of the district, as well as history, culture, and art enthusiasts.
The festive program began with a grand opening and greetings from the hosts. During the event, there were discussions about the importance of the museum as a repository of historical memory, cultural heritage, and the spiritual values of the peopleVisitors were able to get acquainted with such exhibitions as: “Zhambyldyn zhuz zhyry – my tagdyr”, “History in the frame”, “Features of Kazakh national cuisine and kitchen utensils” from the museum’s stock collections.
The interactive excursion “An excursion into the history of the region” aroused great interest, during which the guests got acquainted with the museum’s expositions and the history of their native land.
Master classes were held in the creative zone: “Talisman of the Steppe”, “Magic matches” and “Good Luck Charm”.
A tea ceremony “The Aroma of Steppe Tea” was also organized for the guests, where visitors could taste aromatic herbal teas and learn about the traditions of tea drinking.
The youth quest “Secrets of Museum Objects” attracted special attention from the participants. The young people went through themed stations, completed intellectual tasks, solved riddles, collected puzzles, and got acquainted with museum exhibits and historical sites of the village. The participants demonstrated their ingenuity, erudition, and team spirit, and the game ended with the search for a treasure chest with a surprise” was also organized for the guests, where visitors could taste aromatic herbal teas and learn about the traditions of tea drinking.
