On October 20 of this year, the staff of the B. Mailin Museum of Local Lore held a lecture “The Path of Courage and Labor” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Hero of Socialist Labor Balgabai Murzakhmetov.
The lecture participants learned about the life of Balgabai Murzakhmetov, a native of the village of Karakalpak, a participant in the liberation of Romania, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, the storming of Konigsberg and the war with Japan. After demobilization, he worked for many years at the Tobol station, where, under his leadership, the section of track became exemplary. For his outstanding work, Murzakhmetov was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor and awarded the Order of Lenin and the Hammer and Sickle gold medal.The audience got acquainted with the veteran’s labor achievements and awards, his contribution to the development of the railway industry and the life values that he carried through his entire life.
The lecture was a tribute to the memory of a man whose path is an example of patriotism, perseverance and hard work.
