Day, the staff of the Museum of Local Lore has prepared a subject exhibition “Dolls of the peoples of the world.“ The exhibition is based on a collection donated to the museum by a resident of the village of Ayet. For many years, she lovingly collected dolls from different countries and peoples, carefully studying their history, traditions and cultural characteristics. Each doll is a small work of art reflecting the way of life, costumes and character of its people. The collection has been carefully organized by subject, nationality, form, and type.
The exhibition provides an opportunity to touch the culture of different parts of the world through images familiar to everyone since childhood. It arouses great interest among visitors of all ages — children are delighted to see bright costumes, and adults are curious to learn new facts about the traditions of the peoples of the world.
