Kazhymolda Oralbayev was born on May 5, 1924 in Aktobe village, Taranovsky district, Kostanay region. From the age of three, he was brought up by his uncle, Sakan Oralbayev. When the war began in 1941, he was not yet 18 years old. Already in 1942, when he was very young, he was drafted to the front. As part of the 49th Infantry Regiment, he participated in the Battle of the Dnieper. The fighters secured the river crossing under a hail of whistling bullets. It was one of the fiercest battles of the war. Many soldiers remained forever at the bottom of the Dnieper.… In November 1943, he was seriously wounded. He spent three months in a hospital in Yessentuki, then he was treated in Kiev for a long time. After severe trials, he was discharged by the decision of the medical board of evacuation hospital No. 5414 and returned to his native village in 1944. Kazhymolda Asylbayevich passed away on November 28, 1995 at the age of 72. The government highly appreciated his military achievements. His chest was decorated with numerous awards: the Order of the Red Star, the Order of the Patriotic War of the first degree, as well as the medal For Valiant Labor during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and other insignia.
