One of the artist’s favorite directions is the “Nude” theme, where an expressive appeal to the theme of the feminine in nature and in the laws of harmony sounds. Here he often uses restrained coloring, bringing it to the point of monochrome. Vadim Bykov writes a lot of Kostanay landscapes, the author’s style of execution of the work is quite clearly manifested in them, this desire to recognizably reproduce nature. In his works, smoothly flowing or intermittent sharp lines are always imbued with a certain mood: from peaceful contemplation to expressive intensity. For more than twenty years, Vadim Bykova has been devoting himself to creative work. About 17 personal exhibitions took place during this period. The artist’s works are in the Kostanay Regional Museum of History and Local Lore, in the collections of the Palace of Independence in Astana and in private collections. The works of the artist Vadim Bykov were included in the book “Fine Art of Kazakhstan”, the five-volume edition “Kazakh Art”, and the two-volume edition “Painting of Kazakhstan”. Yu. Ya. Bondarenko, professor at KSU named after A. Baitursynov, wrote about the work of Vadim Bykov in his book “Culture in Faces”.
