As part of the exhibition project “Small Motherland in Events and Persons”, museum staff are launching a photo-documentary exhibition entitled “Personalities in the history of the region” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of V. I. Pipchuk. Pipchuk Vasily Ivanovich was born on October 14, 1924 in the village of Asenkritovka, Taranovsky district, now the Beimbeta Mailina district of the Kostanay region. Retired reserve colonel since 1975. Actively participated in public life. He was often published in the regional newspaper, the author of several stories. He was a member of the Union of Journalists of the USSR. Awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 1st degree, Order of Glory, 3rd degree, and medals. Died on December 24, 1996. He was buried in the city of Ivanovo at the Balino cemetery.
