On June 25 of this year, the B. Mailin Museum of History and Local Lore organized a photo-documentary exhibition titled “Volunteering — the Civic Potential of Society.” The exhibition is dedicated to the activities of volunteers in the Beimbet Mailin district and their contribution to the development of civic engagement in society.
The exhibition introduces visitors to the efforts of volunteers who make a significant contribution to the public life of the district. Today, the volunteer movement brings together 198 volunteers, the majority of whom are school students and activists of the Youth Resource Center.
The main areas of their work include providing social assistance to the population, charitable activities, participating in environmental campaigns, fostering patriotism among youth, and promoting a healthy lifestyle. In 2026, volunteers conducted about 50 events to assist pensioners and citizens living alone within the framework of the “Meirimdi Kazakhstan”, “Helper”, and “Snow Landing” campaigns. In addition, about 40 environmental and preventive events were organized, including campaigns under the “Taza Kazakhstan” program, waste paper collection, and anti-drug awareness meetings.
The exhibition also highlights the participation of volunteers in district and regional events, the conducting of educational seminars and training sessions, as well as the implementation of initiatives aimed at developing civic responsibility and leadership qualities among young people.
The presented photographic materials demonstrate the deep significance of the volunteer movement in strengthening civic engagement, developing social responsibility, and supporting the residents of the Beimbet Mailin district.
