On January 9 of this year, the staff of the B.Mailin Museum of Local Lore organized a folklore and ethnographic holiday on the theme “New Year’s Mood”, dedicated to Christmas traditions and folk culture.
The participants of the event made an exciting journey into the past, got acquainted with the customs of celebrating Christmas among the Slavs, learned the history of the Christmas tree, ancient rituals, family traditions and symbols of the holiday. During the event, there was an interactive conversation, games, quizzes, riddles and creative tasks. The participants learned how they prepared for Christmas in the old days, what dishes were served on the festive table, what our ancestors believed in, and why this holiday was considered a time of miracles.
The celebration was held in a warm and sincere atmosphere, gave the guests a good mood and helped them to touch the cultural heritage.
