On November 27 of this year, the B.Mailin Museum of Local Lore hosted a creative workshop “Frosty Patterns”, dedicated to introducing children to an unconventional drawing technique — a combination of wax and watercolor. The participants learned about winter nature and how frost “paints” its bizarre patterns on the windows.

The guys discovered the secret of an unusual technique: wax makes a drawing invisible, and watercolor helps it manifest, creating real magic on paper. The children drew snowflakes, frosty twigs and patterns with a candle, and then covered the sheet with watercolor, watching their drawings come to life under the brush.

As a result, each participant got a unique “frosty” picture — light, bright and truly wintry. Each work has become a reflection of the imagination and creative mood of the children.
