On November 19 this year, the Museum of Local Lore named after B. Mailin organized a museum lesson “Sacred Kazakhstan: sacred places of our Homeland”.
The main purpose of the event was to popularize historical monuments and sacred sites of Kostanay region. These objects were identified during field and ethnographic expeditions by Kazakhstani scientists and included in the republican register of sacred sites.
The participants were told in detail that the project “Sacred Geography of Kazakhstan” is an important component of preserving national identity. Information was also provided on 34 sacred sites included in the republican register and 24 objects on the regional list.
At the end, a dialogue took place with the guests, who shared their impressions and knowledge about the sacred sites.
